Ludlow was a Railroad town. Founded around 1882. The town was Named after William B. Ludlow.
William B. Ludlow was a Master car repairman For the rail road.
Ludlow's 1st Post office was named Stagg which on Sept. 15, 1926 the named was changed to Ludlow the same as the towns name.
The 1st Postmaster was Lena E. Reed who served until Sept. 30, 1930. Then was replaced by Mrs. Vernie L. Sherraden.
on Nov. 8,1974 The post office was closed. The post office that handles Ludlow's mail is located in Newberry Springs 25 miles to the west of
Ludlow.
About is the ruins of the old Mercantile Store. Which sold items such as Groceries, Meat and Liquors. This building dates back to
1908.
