Founded around 1870's  and developed in the 1880's. This town was largely a company town
for the Bonanza King mine.
The town was well built, mostly of softstone,
The population was 300. And at it's peak  of gold and silver mining the population around 3000.
Postal records shows that the first Post Office was opened on June 5, 1882 and closed on  May 3,
1892. The Post Office had 5 Postmasters. From opening to closing.
